Franco Columbu. The man with 4 pecs. His chest was so incredibly defined, that his upper pectoral fibres seemed to become a separate muscle altogether.

As a boy and teen, Franco was thrown heavily into powerlifting and boxing becoming the Amateur Boxing Champion of Italy and winning European powerlifting titles. It would be an incredible achievement for a person just 5 feet 3 inches (1.60 m).

Throughout Franco’s career, he has been plagued by the idea that he would always be in Arnold Schwarzenegger’s shadow. Unable to stand tall in his own right and instead be relegated to the footnotes of bodybuilding history as a lackey, a right hand man, a goon.

At the height of his fame, Franco Columbu would prove all naysayers wrong and turn out to reign as a 2 time Mr Olympia in 1976 & 1981.

Today Franco Columbu has heavily devoted himself to Chiropractic treatment with over 20 years of practicing this trade. Currently he is the head of the Chiropractic Examiners Board in California as appointed by ex-Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger.
